Photography Competition
It's time for the Gadsden Museum of Art's annual photography competition. The opening reception is Sunday, June 13, 2010. If you live in the area, I encourage you to check it out. This is my first year to participate, but my brother has participated for the past couple of years. Above are two of the photos I entered in the amateur division. Happy 2010
I realize that I am writing this post half way through March, but none the less...Happy New Year! I hope that everyone is having a good 2010 thus far. The new year is always a time when people talk about changes and committments to changes. I am not really one to make new years resolutions, but there have been a lot of changes in my life over the past year or so. For those of you who might be wondering what I've been up to, here is a brief overview; Towards the end of 2008 I decided that it was time to leave my job and move from Birmingham, AL to North Alabama. I left my job and had the opportunity to spend several months in Peru learning Spanish and volunteering with a couple of different programs there. I returned to the States and 2009 and am now living near my family in North Alabama. I continue to work in child welfare and feel very blessed. I'm sure 2010 will be adventure-filled and I look forward to experiencing what life has in store.
